the search begins to find an appropriate position within the competitive workforce.

Our employment specialists provide counseling, interviewing skills, and resume development.

Employment Specialists work through an Individual Plan for Employment (IPE) to assist the individual with obtaining employment. The Job Coach or Employment Specialist will then aid the individual in job development, job matching and placement assistance based on IPE. During job development the Employment Specialist will provide the individual with image consulting, interviewing skills and resume development.
Individuals are placed based on their skills and potential placements available.

Job Placement will begin when the Employment Specialist determines the consumer has been placed on the job. Employment Specialist will make contact with the consumer’s counselor and discuss job match. During consumer’s training Employment Specialist documents consumer’s progress, strengths, and weaknesses. Employment Specialist will begin fading once he/she feels the consumer has a grasp of the job and reports to a counselor.
Note: All participants in the Employment Skills Training program must be referred through DARS (Department of Aging and Rehabilitation Services).
